New Installation in Berwick-upon-Tweed this Summer!

Local artist Chloë Smith is set to open her latest project ‘This Endless Sea’ in Berwick this month.

Working with a team of artists from across the UK, Chloë has created a short film and soundscape, housed inside a specially designed coastal shelter that will be located behind the pier for 5 weeks this summer.

‘This Endless Sea’ explores a relationship between grief and the sea and has been in development for over two years. The film has been shot on location in and around Berwick and the team are all very excited that the work will premiere here in Chloë’s hometown.

Chloë said about the project;

"We wanted to create a work that not only provides space for people to gently reflect on their own experiences of grief and loss, but also celebrates the beauty of the local coastline."

The project runs from Sunday 7th August – Sunday 11th September 2022 and is open 11am – 4pm, Wednesday - Sunday.

Admission is free and there is no need to book.

Location - Pier Road Car Park, Berwick, TD15 1JD.

The project has received funding from a range of organisations including Arts Council England, Maltings (Berwick) Trust and Berwick Town Council.
