Let's learn how to make money from our creative skillsets!

The Commercialise without Compromise programme have opened up applications now! for the next round! I'll be applying and I'm really hoping to see some of you at the sessions! if you haven't heard about it it's a fully funded personal and business development programme ----------- Commercialise Without Compromise

Are you a creative business, artist or designer-maker and want to make the most of the opportunities to sell your work? Commercialise without Compromise is a new fully funded programme that will empower you as an artist or designer-maker to create a more financially sustainable practice without compromising your personal and artistic values. The full programme has been designed specifically for artists and designer-makers and will give you the self-confidence and tangible skills, tools and assets to help you generate income from selling your work. The programme consists of a series of face to face and online workshops delivered over a 2-month period and will conclude with a collective trading opportunity at the Grainger Market in November 2023. The workshops provide multiple opportunities for networking with peers. The way we run workshops allows plenty of time and an appropriate atmosphere for the sharing of experiences. How to apply - Introductory workshop Application To be considered for the programme you will need to have taken part in the introductory 'Commercialise Without Compromise' workshop which will take place on Monday 11th September from 09:30 - 12:30 where you will explore the following questions:

  • What does commercialising your practice mean to you?

  • How are you commercialising your practice already?

  • What are your non-negotiables when it comes to commercialising your practice?

  • Will relying solely on grant funding hold you back?

  • What barriers do you face in the way of commercialising your practice?

  • How do you visualise a working day if you had multiple revenue streams from your creative practice?

Following this introductory workshop, you will have the opportunity (subject to eligibility criteria) to apply for the fully funded personal and business development programme, which will run from Monday 2nd October to Monday 13th November 2023. If selected for the full programme, you will be part of a small cohort of other creative businesses. Places are strictly limited to ensure participants receive in-depth and personalised support. The workshops will be delivered by local business owners who will share their wisdom, experience and some tricks of the trade that they have learnt on their business journey.
