Latest news and updates from The Old Bath House Studios - there are a few changes a foot that you may be interested in noting. Plus a save the date for Easter weekend open studios.
As has been publicised The Old Bath House Studios is undergoing a number of changes.
This summer will see the relocation of Helen Grierson’s Glass Studio, as well as the closure of Paul Henery’s Niche Gallery. These departures follow the relocation of Lori Handley to a rural studio in Northumberland in December.
Due to this their Easter Open Studios, taking place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April, will be their final ever event together as a group in the building. The rest of the artists will still remain at their studios in the building for the foreseeable future.
They hope to continue to work together to host events and exhibitions elsewhere in the near future, where you will be able to see the same friendly faces albeit in different setting.
They wish to extend their deepest thanks to the public who have supported them in their endeavours to establish an artistic community at The Old Bath House over the past 5 years.
They have been able to host workshops for people living with dementia and events in support of the Newcastle Women’s Shelter, whilst also forging partnerships with local schools and universities. The open studio events have grown in scale successively, seeing upwards of 800 visitors at their peak and moving forward they are looking to how they can continue to grow the community they have developed, and hope that you will join them too.
